Odrednice odabira strategije prilaženja potencijalnom partneru

Abstract

Strategic behaviours play a crucial role in romantic relationship initiation. In this article, two
studies investigating these behaviours, as classified by Clark, Shaver and Abrahams (1999) are
presented. These authors describe eight different strategies. Some of them are known as direct (e.g.
directly initiating a relationship) and other as passive (e.g. waiting for another person to make the first
move). Possible determinants of strategic behaviours – personality traits, time perspectives and
attitudes towards gender roles – are analysed and some general conclusions regarding their
predictability are drawn.
